Eulogy Postponed

And the miracle of today

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”   – Marianne Williamson

“Love is the only rational act.” Morrie Schwartz (from Tuesdays With Morrie)

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”   – Martin Luther King, Jr.

“See a need, fill a need.”

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman

GRYLLZ !!! You stupendous sojourner you. I have been reading your blog -‘blog’ is a funny word for what it is; I think of blob. I like to read about where you are at and what you are doing then cross it with Google maps. WAY COOL! You and you’re travels continue to inspire me. If you see an Elephant I dare you to rile it into a game of tag or hide-n-seek. Your awesome! – J-Dawg

    • J-Dawg! It concerns me that you want the elephant riled BEFORE it’s challenged. I think the hide and seek game has begun. I mean, I’m in Kenya, right? Where are they hiding?!
Also, blog is one of my least favorite words. Of all the things I’ve ever wanted to be, a blobber is not one of them. Thanks for reading! Hope you’re learning more Spanish than I am Kinyarwandan!

Leave some love
